Warm, Hearty Halloween Soup

Boo! It’s spooky season and we have the best fall soup recipe! Or should I say: Spoooooky season. Since Halloween is right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about some easy soup recipes you could whip up for a Halloween party, or just some healthy food to keep you warm through the cold months. If you’re like me, you love good food with a fun twist especially during fall. Therefore, we put together this recipe spooky season soup — that undeniably incorporates some fun Halloween spirit! Time to put on Hocus Pocus 2 and enjoy!

When it comes to cooking and entertaining, I’m big into holiday themes — especially around Halloween. I’ll think of every dish as a treat my guests need to try: a scary cake, a delicious mummy wrap, etc.

Soup recipes are a great place to start with dinner. If you want something that is quick and easy to prepare, that can use up some of the produce in your fridge, or be adapted to whatever happens to be lingering around in your pantry, th soup is the way to go. But soup doesn’t have to mean canned-or-boxed tomato soup. It can be just as creative as any other meal you make, no matter how simple it may seem! Instead of pondering what’s for dinner tonight, we got you covered!

Ingredients Needed for Spooky Soup for your next movie night or party

PREP TIME FOR THIS EASY FALL AND HALLOWEEN SOUP:

Preparation time: 25 minutes

Cooking Time: 60 Minutes

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Jimmy Dean Regular Sausage
  • Ground Beef
  • Whole Carrots Peeled
  • Onion
  • Cilantro
  • Jalapeno
  • Garlic
  • Beef Broth
  • Diced up Potatoes
  • Mushrooms
  • Tomato Soup
  • French Onion Soup
  • Red Chili Flakes
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Jalapeno Onions for Taste
Cut Carrots into Pumpkins

Step 1: First Peel and cut carrots into slices but not too thin. Secondly, Cut two lines at the top of the carrot to create a “steam” effect. Save the pieces to cook with garlic and add to soup. Heat a large pot on medium heat with oil. Add onions and garlic and heat until soft. Once softened, add potatoes, Tomatoes, Tomato Soup, Beef Broth, Chili Flakes and bring to a simmer. Add the carrots and simmer for 20 minutes.

Turn Mushrooms into a Skull

Step 2: Take a metal straw and poke two holes in each mushroom to give it a “skull effect” Take a knife and cut the bottom to make the effect of teeth. Additionally, set aside when complete. Can you believe how easy this Fall and Halloween Season Soup is?

Step 3: After simmering and spices and mushrooms and simmer for 5 more minutes. Secondly, Season with salt and pepper to taste.
